I did not see any Kamado threads so I decided to start one myself :becky:
Here is my Kamado, original and the large one that I leave at moms house in Sac town so show me yours! I will post more pictures once I get a chance to head up there again. As you can see the gasket is missing and mama broke the lid by forgetting to remove it before opening the lid. The firebox it in 5 pieces that i puzzle together every time I clean her out. I may refurbish and repair it but it still works just fine. Original grill also.

WoW, that is nice, did you use enamel on it? and did you mold some clay onto it for the temp gauge?
Reading your thread right now, I kinda like the vintage old look to the outside so I may leave it but if painting it gives it some protection from cracking I may put something on it. Looks like I got a barrel dolley for my stand =)

Eggs Cracking?

Heres mine! Just got it! Do you need to worry about cracking?

the outside of the egg shouldn't crack unless you drip it.

i would recommend putting a concrete block below your egg and then the bge feet on top of that.
