Is it a bad idea to use Pam to spray down the inside and outside of my Bandera for seasoning? Should I stick to plain vegetable oil, or does it matter?

No! Pam is the best stuff. Well, spray on is the best - doesn't have to be Pam. I use a generic spray on oil and it works great.

Just make sure you do some of the mods from the Bandera 101 document. The most important thing is raising the firegrate off te bottom of the firebox. Then comes the baffle.

I went to the hardware and got two nice pump spray bottles. I put apple juice in one and corn oil in the other. Now if I can just remember which is which!!
