is one Smokin' Farker
This will be my entry into the "hanging or spinning" , "veggies" and "Noobians vs Vets" throw downs.
Roasted and stuffed baby bell peppers and some well hung and spun hot dogs.
I have been wanting to build something like this for roasting peppers for a long time, so now is the time. I had some chicken wire laying around and I fashioned a cage that fit on my rotisserie spit.
I had a lot of jalapenos I wanted to do something with so I teatsd the rig with them. It works great!
the tumbling action loosened the skin quite well
OK, let's cook.
Ground pork, garlic, onion, poblano pepper, cilantro, Munster cheese cilantro and baby bell peppers.
Sauté the diced veggies until soft then add the ground pork and cook. set aside to cool.
Roasting the baby bells.
When they are done remove and let cool. I took the spice, veggie, meat mixture and gave it a fine mincing, after which the cilantro and cheese were added and mixed in,
]
Stuff the peppers and put in the cooker to reheat and melt the cheese.
I spun a couple of giant hot dogs I found at the butcher shop on the rotisserie over the peppers.
Mine was the more traditional mustard relish and onion, The wife went with her home made mango chutney.
The peppers were the best! I ate four of them. I'm stuffed now.
Thanks for your time, and cook on!
