Ringing in the New Year with....turkey. I'm using Meathead's "recipe" to do my turkey. This far, the gravy smells PHENOMENAL. Turkey just hit 80 degrees. No, this is NOT on the new mini. Full-size drum for this.

I actually followed Meathead's instructions (not about the pictures). AT the 1-hour mark I removed the foil from the drum ands and wings and I added a quart of boiling water to the "gravy" in the roasting pan under the turkey.

Snapped a few quickies then and lid went on immediately.

The result?...
