Hello everyone. I've come across the BBQ Brethren a time or two in the past. Now my search for an insulated cabinet smoker has brought me here again and I decided to sign up. I'm from the Clear Lake, Tx area about half way between Houston and Galveston. I love to spend time with my family. We play youth sports, we hunt, we fish, we BBQ, we drink beer. We take pride in eating the animals we hunt/fish and enjoy the many different ways to prepare the meats.

My homemade 24x48 offset has been my primary cooker for low slow BBQ, but recently got a Kamado Joe and I have to say that I really like the ease of use and small amount of fuel required. We are a busy family with 2 kids and I just dont have the time right now to babysit a fire every 30 minutes on an offset. The Kamado is nice but short on space, so now I will be purchasing an insulated cabinet hopefully soon.

I look forward to being a part of the forum and sharing info with y'all. Please bare with me as I may have some newbie questions. :thumb:
