Right now I'm using two large bins for my equipment storage needs (bottles, tools, thermometers, etc.), as well as for consumables (foil, trash bags, etc.). It's easy to load and unload, but an absolute nightmare finding things some times. What are some of you using for storage?

I'll note that I'm using a Chevy Avalanche to get to and from comps -- no trailer or motorhome.

Any ideas appreciated -- thanks!

Erik

We also use bins but they are made from clear plastic and that makes a world of difference.

At home I'm storing everything in my cambro's and then right before the comp it goes into bins while marking off a checklist.

up right tool boxes they have them at walmart i have see an lot of teams using them:clap2:

I farkin love that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We use heavy plastic crates. Each one has a duty. One is for first aid equipment and all other requirements such as temp logs , insurance, sanatiser, paper towels, passes etc.

Another for gear like cutting boards, small pots/pans, containers, foil, utensils, coffee cups ,

Seasonings etc travel in 'the football' along with clock, timers, thermos, note pad etc.

We use four boxes in total plus one without a lid to bring home dirty, unwashed pans etc.

Man, I like that! I could get everything into one of those.

Now... Where do you find something like that?

I have 4 tubs that are labeled A thru D.
A contains items used in food prep like foil, gloves, plastic wrap, etc...
B contains sanitation and cleaning products.
C contains cooking tools like basting brushes, tongs, spatulas, flashlights aprons, etc...
Those three are clear so anyone can easily find stuff.
D is a large tub that holds extension cords, newspaper for the chimney, coal shovel, hatchet, wood chunks, other misc items.
My checklist has the tubs with their contents listed so I can verify and check off as I load up.

I got stackable clear plastic bins from the hardware. I use it to help organize at the Comp and storage afterwards. I have two sets of 3 bins and 2 larger ones. All are easy to carry
