In celebration of our back to back Grand Championship at the Wild Blue BBQ contest this weekend, our family enjoyed king crab with garlic potatoes and fresh corn.

The king crab was injected with garlic butter. I melted a stick of salted butter four cloves of fresh garlic pressed onto the butter. The melted butter and pressed garlic steeped so that the butter was infused with the garlic. The liquid was injected into the crab legs and claw. The remaining solids were used to flavor the potatoes.

The corn was prepped and cooked by Audrey and the boys. It is so great to get the whole family involved in Sunday dinner. Summer meals are the best!

I like your thinking! Especially since the Deadliest Catch marathon has been on all day!

Awesome idea about injecting the crab legs. I've never thought of that before...as the Guiness commercial goes, "BRILLIANT!"

The injected butter WORKED!!! It was delicious. Since the legs are already cooked, they just take 2 minutes per side. What was interesting is that a little smoke was taken on. It was likely just on the outside of the shell, but you had this sense that you were eating grilled food. It worked out so well.

DAMN, I should have grabbed some Todd's Dirt - Seafood for the potatoes and maybe the corn.

Congrads on the GC and the food pron looks great!

We were also celebrating Michael losing his first tooth this morning. Tooth Fairy came while he was taking his nap.

Unfortunately, we had to cut his corn off the cob.

I have never thought about injecting the crab legs before cooking. I can't wait till decide to eat some crab legs soon.

The crab was half thawed, so the butter firmed up quickly when injected. It didn't run everywhere. Great technique.

What a great idea for the crab legs. Injecting!

Never had crab legs before, but they look worth a try.I live in lobster country.$7.00 a pound right now.
