Weekend Butt and 1st Time Spares

Hey brethren Did another butt and decided to try some spares. I wasn't pleased with them but the wife said they were the best she has ever had.(dont know if it was to make me feel good or if it was true :mrgreen

That said I am cooking on a brinkman vertical ( i know not the best cooker out there but it was free and Im working on a UDS) and temps were a bear to keep stable, but this is what I ended up with.

nothing wrong w/free and even if you had to put in some effort, it produced what looks like an awesome cook..chalk it up to your "skills"

Yeah since the baby has come along i have been using the smoker a lot more. Hence the want for a better cooker. Just got to pick up the drum. Built the charcoal basket already and have most of what is needed for the UDS except the drum. thinking this weekend I will take a little trip and pick up a drum. I will be posting pic of that build.:wink:
