So I'm still pretty new at this but I feel like I'm starting to earn my stripes. I hosted a party this weekend cooking everything on my 2 UDS's a a weber 22.5". One of my guest, who true Q'er as well, refer to my grill as a "wee-ber" have I been blaspheming calling my grill by the wrong name? I always thought they were Web-ers

we-ber or web-er is okay. wee-ber is just plain wrong.

I have a Wee-ber Smokey Mountain..some just call it a mini ;)

But really...it's Web-er.

if you don't know a weeb-ber from a weber. you ain't a q'er

You've got it right, and it sounds like your guest is one of those jacka$$es that needs to correct everyone. My advice is to let him run around calling it a weeee - ber at a comp and get laughed at.

You're saying it right, but to each their own.
Your guest is just a wee-bit off his kettle

Your guest was confusing the Indiana college Weber State with a Weber kettle.

Weber State is Wee-ber State.

Weber ketlles are WEB-BERS.

It could be a regional dialect. When I moved from CA to NC I had lots of giggles over the way some words are pronounced here. Then came to find out that I was the one with the "accent".
I call mine a "grill", all 13 of them.

Weeber? That sounds like something you shouldn't say in school or church
