After an earlier post asking about baking in a UDS, I was convinced that iz could do cornbread in it. So here we go sorry if this long. Pics are not in order as things were done. First I put some celery and carrots in with some butter until they soften a little.
Before that I spatchcocked a chicken and rub it with some yardbird (man I live that stuff) and onto the UDS at 325 for about 2 1/2 hrs with cherry wood and B &B lump. Put a pan under to catch the drippings for the soup later.
After the was bird done I I pulled some white and dark meat and used the drippings from the pan and put everybody in the pool with egg noodles.
And for the cornbread.
I used the advice I got from others and put it on the bottom rack with a pizza stone above it on top rack. Cooked it at 425 for 20 mins and this is I ended up with.
Thanks for looking and the wife and twins enjoyed it.
