tel tru therm

Greetings!!
I want to geta Tel tru therm for my miniWSM to place at grate level how long of a stem are you guys using on your Mini. Thanx

The two I have built used 2.5 inch stems. These were both relatively inexpensive thermometers because they are only a backup since I depend on a digital for accurate readings. Shorter stem is better because if it is too long you will have difficulty getting the bottom grate past it.
