My son-in law wanted something he could do for real BBQ at his Condo in Houston.
His choices were a bunch of horizontal offset cookers and the new(and un-improved) Bandera.
After having Brisket, various pork cuts, ribs, whole Salmon, and even a baby pig come out of mine he made the right choice (IMHO).
He came onto the site and found out what was needed - he made ALL of the mods.
However, the "seasoning cook" took a lot of pant off - Charmglow? has got to work on QC.
First cook was a brisket, two pork pork butts, and baby back ribs - ambitious yes But it worked - used Pecan and Hickory.
Trying to get him to "come out of the closet" and not lurk but you never know
