No one has started a weekend cooking thread yet...
Because of travel, weather and the Libertyville, IL comp, I haven't fired up the Good One in about 5 weeks! I am going through withdrawal! I need to play with fire and meat!
So... I'm going to build a fire in a little while. I went shopping yesterday. I might have over-shopped :-D.
I'm going to cook a couple of fatties, a 12 lb. packer cut brisket, three Boston Butts, about 6 lbs of jerky, a big pot of beans and some hash brown taters. I'm also going to make a batch of cole slaw.
The way I have it figured, it doesn't cost me any more to fire up the cooker and fill it than it does to just cook on brisket.
Most of the food will go in the freezer for mid-winter meals, but we're eating the brisket and beans tonight.
Pictures to follow...
Really...
I promise.
