• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I am highly suspecting one of my vendors to give me a couple yeti ramble 36's. Have any of you all used these to transport your injections or brines to a comp in?
I feel they should be okay any of you all use them for comps?
If so any issues?

I use the RTIC equivalent to hold hot sauces, au jus, etc. Works great. Not sure about the transport part. Are you asking if it will keep them cold long enough without being refrigerated?

Kind of wanting to know if the metal containers will give off a off flavor. A fellow comp friend of mine was using some kind of aluminum containers and he got a couple comment cards saying they had a metallic taste (not sure his container type he was using).
I will transport to the comps in a cooler still to keep them cold.

They would be perfect for injections, though Id probably lean towards using something on the opposite end of the value spectrum

Those work great. Yellow for chicken, purple for pork, red for beef. Even with Friday nights I can keep that straight. So far anyways

I use something similar to those now. But since I feel like my vendor will toss a couple my way for free for Xmas I was wondering about them for comps?

are you talking about the drinking cups, or the threaded lid/growler/thermos type containers?

Thermos type

Why ?? unless transporting warm ..Why not something cheap .
That goes in your cooler ??

Why not $2 Pour bottles from Restaurant Depot or Web restaurant store ?

They also have different color tops

If I am getting them FREE it's hard to be cheaper than that.
And yes the old ones I have been using from Kosmos Q for the last 5 years have been working just fine.

Sorry but the question was has anyone used these and if so had any issues. Not for cheaper options as free is pretty cheap.

I hope that did not come across wrong as it was not intended to be.

I'd keep in mind two things. One, you have to hand wash them. Two, they insulate in both directions, so if you put room temp injection in them and then put them in a refrigerator, it's going to take at least 12 hours or so for the liquid inside to get chilled to refrigerator temp.

Good point thanks

Yellow Chicken, dark red ribs, green pork and blue brisket. Injection is green pork and blue brisket... The Nalgene take a beating, do the dent and you can get them off of Amazon real cheap if you buy a few of them...
