• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I have read and read. I have a 4.5 pound bone in rib roast. My plan is 225 till IT of 130 then rest for half hour. I've never cooked one so anyone have a estimated time at 225 to 130? Thanks.

Approx. 25 minutes per pound is a good guesstimate :-D

You have a good plan - the only thing missing is your final sear -
to get a nice crisp crust.....???
Pull it at 118 or 120,
get your fire or broiler up to max and sear the outside,
side by side, until nice bark, maybe 10 minutes -
130 is perfect . Pics.

Double dittos to the above. Do not wait until 130 to pull or you will end up with a piece of shoe leather...
