I've gone to ZERO BBQ knowledge with a gas grill to owning a WSM and a 22 Kettle in less than a year, and having friends asking me to smoke pork for graduation parties, to ask them over for ribs, to making moinks for neighborhood get togethers, Prime Rib for Easter and Christmas, to salmon for dinner last night.

Not at all bragging. Just saying none of it, and especially the enjoyment of doing (now a lifetime hobby) it would have been possible without the vast knowledge available right here. I'm with Skidder - THANK YOU ALL!

Of course, before you know it you've got a backyard full of smokers & trying to figure out of to bring home another one.

The only problem this site has is how quickly and completely I became hooked on what my wife calls my barbecue crack!

I too was a gas grill junkie and was one that figured if a little wood smoke is good alot must be better as I dumped about thirty dollars worth of porterhouse steaks in the trash. I remember when I thought grilling and bbq were one and the same. Who knew?
