• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

This guy bought a 18 1/2 " One touch platinums on Ebay.

He used the base of the one touch platinum and then mounted the vents from a smokey joe platinum on the front and back of the charcoal bowl.

He's also done the handles on the barrel and thermometer mount mods. Obviously a WSM geek!! Good for him!

How cool! I guess I should start looking for an 18 1/2 inch platinum on Craig's List :-D

My only question is, how tall is this guy? I gotta think that if you aren't at least 6ft tall, you'd need a step ladder to check your meat.

My tongue is turning to chop meat

I agree with Neil... nice looking but is it really workable height-wise. I like the ability to dump ash though. And having a work table.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.

The other thought that went through my mind was.......why bother? :?:

I've never had an ash buildup problem, the venting works a treat and using a small folding table would be more versitile than the 'platinum' one.
