• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Finally! After reading reviews and different forums, I started to get a hankering for a WSM after a couple of long cooks babysitting an out of round ECB. $200 is a little steep of a price for us right now as we have our first baby due any day now. Long story short, I sold a TON of collectible stuff that had been in storage on ebay to put in the savings account and satisfy the wife even though I could have used the money to buy a couple of WSMs. Then we had a couple of yard sales with the in-laws. I sold my ECB as is (without charcoal bowl so I could use it with the future WSM) and I flipped a CL purchase (Great Outdoors Smoky Mountain Charcoal). Since most of the profits were from my items sold and I had just injected our savings account with the ebay sales, my wife decided to let me use our yard sale profits to buy my first WSM!!! Just ordered it and thought I would take advantage of the free shipping and splurge with a Weber Slide-Aside and Weber Char-Basket Charcoal Fuel Holders for my 22 1/2" Weber Kettle (CL $20, pristine condition!). Great weekend and I am finally ready to start cooking again! Now if we could just tell the difference between pre-labor and real labor contractions/pains!

Good job brother MoFo! OBTW, you can't tell on the labor thingies...just the way it is. We wish mama and the new youngin well.

we are due for our second child sometime in the next two wks. what hospital? we are at st lukes

Hint: real labor ends with a plop and a baby!!! Congrats on the new weber and the new kid!!! Hope you saved a couple of bucks for mom. She's gonna be working pretty hard getting you that kid!

Congrats bro... I'm glad to know there are others that scheme/buy/sell like I do to justify other purchases... My next one is going to take a little work!!!! A FEC is in my future is the only hint I will give.... just don't tell the OL yet!!!

Congrats on the baby and the new WSM. Just don't look at CL for a while - I found one on there the other day for $25 in great shape. Of course, I called several days too late.

As for fake labor versus the real thing... She'll feel a pop, then all warm and she'll be screaming and panicking.

Congrats on on your new "baby" WSM and congrats in advance on that one on the way.

Good job Lowbrass. Congrats on the new addition and the pending new addition.
As a relatively new WSM user and a long time ECB user, I gotta tell ya. They don't cook anywhere near the same. Love the WSM!
