• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Would you still barbecue if ....

NO!

But the only conceivable way that I could not eat what I cooked is if I was dead, so I wouldn't be cooking anyway.

Unless ... there's a big ole smoker in heaven! Hmmm, maybe that's why they call it heaven.

Now in all seriousness, if I couldn't eat it but the family could, I would cook. If we all couldn't eat it, then I wouldn't cook and it would free up more time for me to spend with my baseball cards.

Yes I would Q even if they told me I couldnt enjoy it anymore. But ya might have to sample a little piece just to be sure its good.

Yup....I tend to enjoy the process more than the result, anyway-- not that I don't love 'que, but the cooking process is my therapy....

According to the doctor I was supposed to stop eating just about everything I cook...oh well....

i know i'd want to hang out with my friends while they're cooking bbq, but i'm not sure i could cook it at home if i couldn't eat it.

yup, alot of times i dont eat it. I love BBQ, but eventually get "meated out".. but i will still cook and feed everyone else. :) Besides, Prepping it, cooking it, playing with fire, the smell coming from the pit, thats the fun stuff.

(Especially at competitions... i need pasta!!).

Yep, as long as I still get to see people with big smiles, licking their fingers.

Yeah, I would. I might not be quite so enthusiastic all the time, but sooner or later I'd just have to fire the cooker up, if only to give me an excuse to sit up all night drinking and hanging out with the dog.

Absolutely, I think it is a given when you are only cooking for two but you still HAVE to fill the smoker every time you cook. It is definitley about the process. Right now I have 1 1/2 cooked pork shoulders and half of a 12lb brisket that need to be eaten, but right now I am trying to figure out what I am going to cook on Sunday.

I love the cook. To me personally, the trip is better than the destination. I love Q, but sometimes I just eat the bourbon...

Isnt this what happends most of the time? We dont really eat much of our own BBQ anymore after cooking it so darn much... We give most of it away.

Not at my house! If I'm going to work that hard I'm going to eat, too!!

Not me. I love all aspects of cooking Q, but I never get tired of eating it either.
The only way I would stop eating BBQ is if somebody took all my teef.
They better take my food processor, blender, and juicer too:mrgreen:
