• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Guys, Ive spent some time searching the archives but I havent found what I'm looking for. Is there a good web site that will tell me if a particular wood is good for smoking or not?

For example, I just cut down a Mulberry tree. Is it any count for smoke? I'm not going to go thru the trouble and sweat of splitting it if its no good.

Mulberry is my favorite for anything pork !! Got a huge tree in my back yard that grows like a weed. In my opinin, Pecan or Hickory are better for beef though.

Its from the files button on the left

Cool. Thanks Bill. everytime I think I have seen all this site has to offer, there is one more section Ive missed. This is great.

At some point the recipe section will be back up, as we are about to move to updated forum software in the coming months. (same look and feel, just newer)

That's when the trading post will kick in again

No, really.

TK is funning.

As an update:

The trading post has now been converted into the Sauce Trading Post for now (which TK slacked on this round) and the recipe section was a module that worked up until we had to upgrade for security reasons.

The new recipe module (which I had the privledge of testing) is sweet and will work nicely here.

There is alot of money and effort going into this site, and we are trying to move things along.

Just to clarify, "we" means mostly Phil, and the rest of "we" means the group that tries to fund some of the "ancilliary" expenses
