• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Have any of you used this? Looking at replacing my metal brush and this has my interest.

I think you could buy a flat wooden spatula for a lot less and get the same results.

Heard good things after they are broke in. It takes awhile for it to develop the grooves, but heard good things after that is accomplished.

My dad uses a scrap wedge of oak to clean the grates on his Weber gasser. Same principle (stupid simple) -works like a champ - not all fancy-fied and a damn sight less than $30.00.

I've had one for over a year and it works great. Sam's and Costco both sell them for $19.95. It takes about 5 minutes to burn the grooves in on a screaming hot grill. After that it just gets better.

It should work well. I use paint stir sticks all the time for what the dogs don't get off.

My initial response is $30.00 seems a little high for a chunk of Oak, but then it depends on what your time is worth to craft one.

I have one as well and love it. Like cheez59 said does not take long to put groves in with a hot grill and it sure beats having to worry about metal bristles in your food

I've always balled up the texas crutches and gave the grates a good scrubbing. They come clean as a whistle and it is just going to be tossed away anyway. Think if I was to try a wooden scraper it would be tightly bundled bamboo skewers.
