The skillet is not necessarily rare, nor even expensive to this day-but it’s probably close to 80 years old (experts feel free to correct me).
What’s interesting is the round hole is somewhat older than the tear drop thumb rest shaped hole. All that to say this: the round hole allegedly had a bacon press that the markings matched on both pieces. I’ve never seen the bacon press that matches the round hole skillet markings.
I’m retired from collecting pieces and gradually gifting to my son and DIL. A piece or two per year.
