• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We shot a wild hog and had it processes. It was a sow that was about 180lbs. Processed packed up the ribs for us so here we go. Rubbed with EVO and plow boys yard. Mesquite wood. Cross your fingers!

I'd like to know how they turnout, my step son goes hog hunting in AL and gives the hogs away says the meats to tuff.

We have had them processed before and always just had sausage done. It's excellent. Key is to get one that doesn't stink. Stick your nose right up against it and if it smells like dirt your good. This one was the biggest we have had processed and that's why we had ribs. Usually they aren't big enough to get ribs.

That should be good. A young sow is the best wild hog to eat for sure.

Thanks I'll pass it on and if anything I'll ask him to bring some sausage home.

They weren't too bad. Not something I'd serve to friends. I should have taken more time to trim some more fat off them. Meat pulled back good on the bone but they were still a little tough. There was no game taste though. I'll have the next one done is sausage. Breakfast or German sausage is really good. They do some chipotle summer sausage that's awesome.
