• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I get up early and prep it and smoke it. She cleans up the mess. Am I being unfair to her?

I mean, really, I let her eat some of it!

If she's not delivering beers pit side while it's smoking ... sounds fair to me. And like you said ... you let her eat some of it

Revzilla, Ive been married for over 17 years, and during that time my wife has put up with more of my crap then others would have. That being said I have learned one thing that has kept my marriage a happy one and that is: "If MAMA is'nt happy, then no one is HAPPY. Besides good "Q" is a family affair, I can tell you just good food has always brought more happiness and fun into the house then anything else. Good luck, and remember to treat your wife like the Queen she should be!

Oh my goodness! I have found the smartest man in the world! :-D Can you talk to thillin for me? You are a great man!

If it is determined to be unfair, let's be sure my wife doesn't hear about it. That's how we do things around here.

Well, I've learned to NEVER win the argument. Sometimes you think you won....but truth is the argument just ain't over yet.

Revzilla,

I've been married for 7 and 1/2 years and thats the wisest thing I think I've ever heard yet. :eusa_clap

The wife and I share the task for the most part, no complaints on either side. I definitely dont mind the cooking, although it's tough job watching the thermometer all day while tossing back cold ones.

I prep, I cook it, I clean it all up. I also recieve no flak along the way. This works for me and Mrs. Porky.

I do 99.9% of ALL cooking. We both clean the mess up and the boys do dishes. Works out good.

- It makes my wife mad when she cooks and the kids want eat it. We could cook the same dish, the same way, and same taste and the kids will not like it unless daddy cooks it. Anyone else have this problem?

Ditto....
It's been a few years but when we went camping the boys pitched in
and realized that cleanup had to be done.
The really strage thing is that no matter what the meal was
"It always tastes better outdoors" and away from home.
I would tell the boys that they need to help Mom clean
up and it was an effort.
I guess because when Dad cooked we were camping or something
and they just jumped in there.
I really can't explain that one.

My grampa always used to say "You're not a craftsman until the tools are put away."
I clean up my own Q mess based on that sage advice.

And the Secretary of Domestic Tranquility would agree that "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."

Same at my house - I cook and she cleans (everything except the pit - that's my job and I don't want her in it anyway).

I gotta watch out about doing this - Mrs. Beerbq gets mad when I have too many before pullin' the pork.
