• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar.B.Que is the place I head to when I'm in Orlando. It is considered the best in the area and was featured in Southern Magazine. The Q is good, portions good and prices reasonable. It is not competition quality but a real crowd pleaser. They have multiple locations. The one I've been to many times is up the road from Universal. Check their website.

Yours in BBQ,

Cliff

Thanks I'll look it up., Off to the sack, will be getting up early

Just caught up with this thread. Sorry I missed it yesterday, I was away most of the day.

First, thanks Noah, for the compliment.

Rookie, Celebration is a Planned community designed and created by Disney, and it is between the main Disney Theame Park area, and Kississimme, Fla. -about 25 miles from downtown Orlando.
No BBQ that I know of in Celebration, but several great restaurants, including a unit of the Columbia [a famous Cuban/Spanish restaurant in Tampa.]

Fatts, I don't know if you will be online while your are visiting Orlando. If so there are several options for good que around here.
CT Smokehouse is right about Bubbalou's Bodatious BBQ. They are very good, owned and operated by a family that has been in BBQ in this town for at least 60 years.

There is a restaurant in the Wilderness Lodge, inside Disney World, that does good bbq. They have a huge Southern Pride in a special building out behind the hotel. Good stuff.

Another good local place is Blackwater BBQ. These guys are competition cookers, and they do really good que in their restaurant.

Just a couple more: O"Boy's BBQ. They have several locations around town and do a great job. The owners are the grandkids of the guys that started Fat Boy's, which used to be a well-known Florida chain.
Keller's BBQ- only two restaurants, but they also are from the Fat Boy family, and do real que, and have a killer sauce.

Fatts, if you see this and want more specific info, post here or send me a pm.

We have stayed at the wilderness lodge a few times. We love that place and the food is great.

over in celebration florida there is a roadside stand that does island style bbq out of a southern yankee trailer that might be worth a try. check them out at www.ckjerkshack.com. if anyone has ever tried them, please tell what they were like. thanks

You are right, Steve. As a "local" the Wilderness Lodge is one of the few places on Disney property which we frequent. Good food, great architecture.
