• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

depends on whats on sale. I love to make new
stuff for company drive my wife nuts.. Over the
years I have only had a few failures that weren't

Two months ago it would have been:

pulled pork
spares
homemade smoked sausage
BBQ beans
creamy coleslaw

Now I would have to go whole hog:idea: load the smoker to the gills and add:

brisket - I know this isn't from a hog so don't go there!!! It was just a pun!!
fattie
ABTs

And I would have to do one of those double smoked hams with the Sweet Kiss of Death injection that Q_Egg did for Christmas.

I haven't had the time to do one yet but you can tell that is some good chit!!!

Anything that I cook would more than delight them. I recently catered my own wedding rehearsal and had folks from outside the state (yankees) that swore they never tasted anything so good. Even my brother who lives in S.C. was amazed.

For me I think it's stuffed pork loin, pulled pork with super peppery slaw or chicken that I do (forgive me) on the gasser. I've tried to duplicate the chicken on the kettle and in the WSM but it's just not quite there yet. Practice makes perfect though, so I'll be out there this afternoon trying it again.
BTW sterling, sorry to hear that it's 5 degrees where you're at. My wife just opened all the windows to get some fresh air in the house. It's almost 70 here today! In PA no less! When winter finally gets here, we're not going to know what to do with ourselves.

Anything I decided would be wonderful, I'm sure.

Ok, just kidding!

If I were putting together a medley of things to intrduce someone to bbq, I'd go all out, though:

Brisket
Tomato Pie
ABTs with asiago, proscuitto, basil and sundried tomatoes, and some with blackberry preserves and brie.
Armadillo eggs on grilled baguettes
St. Louis ribs
Grilled Pineapple with dolce de leche sauce
Grilled asparagus
Cedar planked salmon or just smoked salmon

Brisket, country ribs, hot links of some sort, potato salad, slaw, pinto beans, peppers, onion, pickles, white bread, and ice cold beer.

Good

Curt all that sounds terrific:-P Now I need an intro. to BBQ normally what I give to family over the holidays is my smoked baked potato soup
