• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

AT 3:45 am I started 2 briskets fatside down 4 butts fat side up and will put 3 slabs of ribs on later. I am having my family over for supper. 18 total
What a great day to do some smoken!!!!!! :D :D :D
 
Thinkin' about cookin' a pork loin today and of course some fatties. I'm sure I'll think of something to go along with them. 8) :D
 
on fatties do you use 3 2 1 ? I have and I did not like it as well as pulling off at 160 and letting it rest. I also tried rb rice's hot I did not like how it tasted. I love hot food but something in the spice did not go well with the smoke
 
Not cooking today but will be throwing some spare ribs on tomorrow

Just checked the weather, rain starting at noon today lastin til tomorrow afternoon. Guess I'll be cooking that pork loin next weekend :cry:
 
No cooking smoking today - prolly tomorrow. I just got a big farking london broil to sear over hot coals today.

10lb Butt on at 8am. :twisted: First time I've had to fire up the pit in three weeks so I'm going to enjoy this one.
 
19 pound brisket went on at 8:30 last night, made one adjust to the vents on the WSM since firing up. It setting in the stall making magic now.
 
Well, I was going to put down wood flooring in the master bedroom...but that is on hold due to high prices...so I may just paint the garage. The wife is Bryan all weekend at her parents selling her jewelry, so I got a hall pass all week. I mention all of this because despite her departure, loading up the smoker hadn't occurred to me...thanks for the reminder. Time to round up some ribs and fatties and get to work!!

PS: She's not hawking her jewelry...she makes custom jewelry. I thought that sounded kind of funny when I wrote it... :lol:
 
Firing up smokey for the first time in a long time tomorrow. Doing some wings and Phil's prime rib, and a fatty.

Looks good! I've got a farkin' cold and my heads feels like a 9 lb butt, so no cooking for me this weekend...
 
Let's see... grease, nasty crusty water pan and POOPIE stuck to the cooking grates... that's about it this weekend. Keep meaning to go clean it out but the weather keeps getting farkin horrible every time I have a chance!
 
Was going to fire up the 'dera today but weather took a turn for the worse, go figure, Michigan in February and the weather sucks! Kept the cover on the 'dera and fired up the Weber Performer for a rack of spares.

R.B. Rice Sausage. (Hot , Mild, Medium) is the Brand Name it is real good and is getting harder to find.
