• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We're having a small family get together this weekend, folks driving in from WI and IA, so I've got 30 lbs of butts and 35 lbs of brisket flats in the Spicewine. It's still 82* outside and no air moving, really kind of miserable feeling...I chose to cook overnight rather than to fight the 100*+ heat indexes tomorrow....

So who else is cooking this weekend?

I am probally going to do the overnighter Sat night for the same reason. Been close to 100 degrees, with high humidity around here.
I have a 9 pound picnic, a 8 pound butt, some fatties, and a couple of slabs of spare ribs waiting to go in the cooker. Family for dinner Sunday, rest will go in the freezer to replinish my stock.

My youngest has a birthday this weekend, so I am lighting up early in the morning. 8# butt, 4 racks st louis spares, and a fatty(or 2:icon_shy ). I might whip together some ABT's. When the friends and family get together there is never such a thing as cooking too much.

Got 47 lbs. of butts on for a birthday party this weekend! Also will be cooking 70 assorted chix quarters with baked beans and potato salad.

I'll be smoking at a much smaller scale than you guys. one 12LB boneless butt and 24 chicken thighs, all from Costco. Using a BBQ Grillware upright propane water smoker from Lowes. 50/50 apple and hickory chips in the smoke box.

It's 3:42 and I just walked in from putting on a CAB full packer brisket. Later I will through on some wings and a fatty.

I just finished putting on a couple of butts and I'll do a pan of beans later, all for a coworker who's having a party tonight.

I'm doing Steven Raichlen's BBQ USA "Best Barbecued Beans on the Planet". I always do these, and use my own BeerBQ Sauce.:-D

Tried my hand at Sledneck's Bikini chicken. Came out good, but I need to get one or two of those holders. When the drumstick gets done and starts to give way, my chicky falls over sometimes. (the one on the right may be a tranny)

Wait until you see the "after" picture when they are done and the bikini comes off!

You WILL be posting the "after" pics, right, Beerguy?

I have a corned brisket in the fridge to make into pastrami. The forecast for later is rain so i may end up cooking it tomorrow.

Great job BeerGuy. Makin Sledneck proud. I love it.

Put a 12 lb. Brisket on the Drumpit this Morning @ 5:00 a.m. Trying out my new Maverick ET Dual Remote. I'm going to the Family Reunion tomorrow and hope to WOW 'em with Pulled BBQ Beef, Keri's Hog Beans, PanFried Corn Bread and N8man's Simple Cherry Cobbler....

Just got back in from the Reunion, and indeed, the family was WOWED!! Everybody raved about the Pulled Brisket and Keri's Hog Apple Beans and made me promise to bring them again next year!!!!!

My wife is making me take the weekend off since we just got in from the honeymoon last night. I may sneak in some drunk chickens tomorrow, though.

Just threw on a slab of baby backs, a few Jollypeno, and a couple of Argentenian sausage links that I picked up from the butcher. And a couple of turkey dogs. A couple of fatties later for tomorrows lake trip.
