• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

In keeping with the theme of the previous thread I wanted to pose the question of what everyone eats the morning of a competition. We try to include all the major food groups in one simple dish. We do a cowboy quiche that has lots of eggs, cream, smoked phattie, Swiss chess and bell peppers all baked in a pie shell on our kettle.

by the time Sunday morning comes around i am so sick of looking at and eating meat i cant touch a thing

We throw on a couple of fatties at about 4 in the morning to eat at 7. We also throw on some biscuits at 6 to be done about the same time. Some comps will have breakfast for everyone. Shannon has biscuits and gravy as well as donuts, coffee, and orange juice.

Will, does that include not touching beverage containers?

We've cooked bacon and eggs, sausage and biscuits, biscuits and gravy, and sometimes it's just ho-ho's and coffee,,,,,,,:)

We have in the past done bacon, eggs, pancakes. We have a stainless steel piece of counter top thet we put on our pull behind grill and use that as a griddle. Works pretty good!

hopefully Ford Allison is cooking close bye so I can get some of his breakfast tenderloin--Old Dave makes a mean breakfast also!

Bellybro,

Great idea on the stainless steel top for a makeshift griddle. I never thought of doing pancakes at a competition......What a great easy idea, we will have to try that at the next one as chopping vegetables and measuring at 6am isnt the most enjoyable task... I might just have to sneak some blueberries into the pancake batter though.
