• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

What custom paint job would you choose?

Hello Brethren! I posted this same question on Reddit without much traction so I thought I would pose the same question here.

It's time to refresh my Stumps 223. It is in the same condition in which I bought it used a few years ago, but the rust is starting to spread and it's time to give the old girl a makeover.

I'd love to hear your ideas about how you would paint a smoker of this size. It will likely get blasted to bare metal and then receive auto paint from there. The guy who is doing the paint is a reputable painter who does all kids of paint jobs but I know he's talented with motorcycle paint jobs.

Here are pics of the smoker as she sits today: https://imgur.com/a/IzN4y

Sports team logo? Flames? Skulls? Metal flake? I know it's a personal preference thing but I'd like to hear what you'd do with this big blank canvas.

I really liked the titanium color I saw in some stumps pics. Anyone ever seen one in the wild? What'd you think?

What about doing something to just the top (I've seen diamond plate - but I'm talking paint) or the door? Do you like that look?

Here's the titanium: https://imgur.com/a/gt1WT

While I bought my smoker the way it is, I really like it. It's a tribute to the American flag with flames. Only thing I'd add is a magnet with my favorite college teams emblem.

I've seen several people suggest camo in the past, but it never seems to be taken seriously. I was assuming you are one of those who is a camo proponent. I have nothing against it but just assumed you were one of those hoping against hope that someone would use that color scheme. My bad!

That's a really great idea. I hadn't really thought of any Keystone related ideas. Great suggestion.

Maybe it's because I've got Chicago roots. Cardinals? I'm a northsider: GO CUBS!

Booooo...thank God I was born in the good ol' SOUTHERN part of Illinois as a Cardinals fan.

But since you're from IL, maybe do the Railsplitter/Lincoln 84th Infantry Division on OD Green!

Yes, I'm a WWII history fanatic.

I like hammered metal finishes for things that get dirty where you do not want to see imperfections. It has a nice clean industrial look.
