• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Weekly Prices at GFS in Pgh. What are they like where you're at.

I may have to get a couple briskets. Have you ever seen prime briskets in pgh area?
Also out my was at our local Sprankles store they have Humphery's 20 pound bags of charcoal on sale for $4.99

Come to think of it I've never saw a prime Brisket anywhere in Pittsburgh. Never saw a Sprankles Mkt. either.

It's a locally owned store. They used to be IGA. They even have a bunch of bbq sauces. The sauce is made in Kittanning actually.

Gfs in cincinnati doesnt even have brisket on the local specials. A week or two ago i think it was $2.69/lb or so.

Just stopped by GFS Monday and saw the prices. Very excited about that. I have my cooler in my jeep to stop by after work today to fill up.

I think $2.49 in western hills is the normal going rate for them there. I talked to a cashier there last time i bought one and she said they supply briskets to alot of places around cincy, and then those stores mark up the price. I'd rather get my briskets at the gfs price, oh and sometimes they have some in the freezer that are close to expiration and they sell them at a discounted price, but you have to ask if they have any.

Choice Brisket - $2.49lb.
Bone in Pork Butt - 1.39lb.
Ribs Full Slab 2 pk- 1.59lb.
I shop at a Navy Base Commissary
Choice Brisket - $3.98lb
Bone in PB - $1.09lb
Full Slabs - $1.11lb

Full Slabs - $1.11 Wow I'd be all over those, though my preference is for SLCs. I'm lazy but I'd cut those down.

I cook smoke them as SLC's, it only takes me a minute to cut them down and I cook the Rib Tips then pull the meat off the Tips to use for other cooks. They also sell SLC's for I think $1.19lb but they are Tyson and packed in salt solution so I pass on those. I forget what BB's are because I always buy Spares but I know they're under $2. Interest thing to me are the Slabs and BB's are Cryovaced and the SLC's come from Tyson.
