• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Here's what I've been doing today. This new Good-one smoker held a steady 250 for over 5 hours without adding fuel.

I just finished eating, and your pics make me hungry. Good job.

Are those chicken necks on the top shelf?

Nope, just wings and a few brats on the right. If my mom or grandma was in town, I might throw on some chicken necks though.

I find that statement about the necks interesting. Never knew either of my grandmothers well, but the neck was my mother's favorite part of the chicken.

Looks damn good. And what type of smoker is that? Inquiring minds want to know.

And you might as well admit it, the little princess is the real chef. You're just the photographer.

It all looks great. I can't wait to get my cooker going in the morning.

I'm not sure it was my mom's fave, I think it was a case of her letting the kids pick their favorites first.

Those are some sweet looking cookers. How much fuel did you use to maintain the 250* for five hours? How thick is the steel?

Very Nice-made me hungry already this morning  and the chef looks happy and proud of the great Q she did.:eusa_clap

Congratulations on your new smoker. I've had the same model for 3 yrs and sure like it. I've had mine go up to 8-10 hrs without adding fuel. I use good lump, with 1-2 sticks of wood.
Also, this winter I made this front shelf for mine which really comes in handy. The 1" tubing supporting it slide over the front handles, which makes it removable.

The main body is 1/8 inch, the food chamber door a little thinner. I started with about 8 chimneys. They advertise an 8 hour burn in moderate weather. The sales guys said 8 to 12 in warm weather.

I've used it twice, going to a class on it this weekend, but so far I really like it. Hard to get out of the habit of regularly feeding the bandera.

Cool, I haven't thought about modding mine yet, but that looks like a nice addition. I might be taking advantage of your 3 years experience. I'm hoping I find a way to get more even temps from top to bottom.
