• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Due to me being a gadget freak (all men are to a greater or lesser extent:-D ) I bought meself one o' these from our local garden centre last week as I am now not straying from the path that is charcoal, particularly since there are those in power asking to ban gas fired patio heaters due to their carbon emissions, and if they get them banned...........
Anyhow, had brother, sis-in-law and nephew over Saturday so got my chance to fire up my coals with the rapidfire. WOW! I may be in love:redface: If these things had been about 20 years ago there'd be less gas barbies about, I am convinced of that!! I alwaya take manufacturers claims with a pinch of salt but this does exactly what it says on the tin, in 15 minutes your charcoal is all lit and ready for use, no fuss, no messing about and all lit with two sheets of newspaper. If you've not got one already, make it a priority purchase!!

I didnt realize it was called rapidfire and thought for a minute the UK had gotten a release before US, Was wrong:rolleyes:

When I was a kid my dad made his own - big coffee can with the top and bottoms cut out and a bunch of air-holes punched in it. That and a pair of pliers did the trick.

Yeppers those Weber chimneys sure do work! I've burned through 2 of them over the years (those wire grates eventually give out)... I'm on my 3rd one and have 4 more spares in the shed... picked up the extras a year ago at a clearance sell for $3 each!

James.
