• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Has there anybody out there that has seen issues with the bottom bowl where the legs are attached having the spot welds on the tabs breaking loose. I just noticed on one of mine that all three recievers have one spot weld broken and the tab that attaches to the bowl is not attached just there. Can I spot weld them back. Really like to take it somewhere if anyone can help me out. Just wanted fixed so the darn thin does break another tab and fall over.

Ya know, as good as their customer service is, I would call Weber for their suggestions. Who knows, depending on the age of your kettle, they might even replace it.

As they say about chicken soup " can't hurt".

I can pop rivet it for you

I have an older kettle where the handle on the dome and the handle on the bowl were starting to loose. I drilled through and used small stainless alan head bolts, washers and jam nuts to hold it all together. Works great and looks good too!

That was one of my thoughts

I have the pop rivet and ect. I uess the thread was more of a insanity check. My main concern will be that this is the new style with the fan for the lower opening not the round holey disk vent. That it might interfere with opening bottom vent.
