• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Well, I'm not sure if you guys remember all of the troubles I have had with my WSM leaking and not holding temps. I was just abut to list this thing on Craigslist and dump it until someone told me to call customer service and see of they could help figure it out. Well, I did so. Come t find out, after some tests like turning over the bottom and putting it on a flat surface, we found ut that the bottom of the smoker was WAY out of round. It rocked about a half inch to an inch. After figuring this out, the guy (David) confirmed my address and contact info and said he was sending me another bottom...no charge. Ive hd this thing for 5 years now and told him Ive had problems since day one. He said it could have been out of round since I bought it.

Before he hung up, he asked me if I thought there were any more problems and I mentioned the door on it was leaking bad as well. Guess what? He added a door for it to the "order" and also added a new water pan for it since "Im sure the one you have needs replacing". I hit the jackpot!

If anyone EVER asks about Weber and their customer service, I will ALWAYS recommend them! I will also never buy any other type of grill besides Weber (Smoker, yes, but grill? Im a Weber addict now!). The only reason Ill buy a different smoker is for more room...(HELLO SouthernQ smokers! WOOT)

So, Weber customer service...:thumb::clap2::thumb::clap::clap2::thumb:

I've dealt with Weber customer service too and also have had very good results. they're awesome!

Thanks for telling me what I already knew. Good to hear it again!

Very few companies back their products like that anymore.

Exactly the reason I've got 5 Weber's. My gas grill being the oldest is 14 years old and I've only had to replace one of the swivel casters, every other part is original and still works. I've only dealt with Weber customer service twice and there was never a question and the parts showed up the next day.

I recently bought a weber accessory through Amazon, there was a piece missing, I called weber directly and after a 2 minute phone call they had a new package on the way, no questions no charge. I'm a fan of Weber.

Yea I bought a 2001 Genesis Silver B for $20 to refurbish a couple years ago. I was surprised that some of the parts were free, including shipping. They are the best for sure.

Awesome customer service. A little hint, if you let them know you are the original owner they will tend to do more to help you than if you let them know you bought it second hand from someone else. YMMV.

Weber is smart....the replacement parts don't really cost them that much, but the word of mouth advertising they get in return for hooking up a customer...brings them a LOT more revenue. Wish more companies were like that....

Agree that Weber CS is great. But you may find that your new bowl is also out-of-round (many are). If so, it's generally a 30-second fix with a measuring tape and two hands, unless there's actual traumatic damage to the section.

I had a plastic part break on my performer when the wind blew it off my deck ... I told them the story and I had to pay for it :) I guess I could have lied to get it for free but that is not my style. The coveted 22.4 lid was also a little damaged, but when I asked about that it was $75 to replace... That seems a bit expensive when I can order the original kettle from walmart for $99. but they were very easy to deal with
