Made myself a table for the UDS and it should be OK for the Weber Kettle, maybe just a little tall. Now I just have to bring myself to use it, it is so darn pretty I don't want to get it all dirty.

Damn! Now I have to change my table design! I was just going to make a small, attached table. That looks great! What type of wood did you use?

Matt

It is clear cedar. I got lucky there is a local guy that sells non conforming and 2nd run pieces for cheap, but I had to change my design to match the materials he had available. I have the plans I drew up if anyone wants them.

I take no responsibility for these plans, measure twice cut once. :-D

Never posted an attachment, we will see how it goes.

I could use the plans, also. Just got a BGE - XL and want to build a table. I'm sure I could adapt them to fit and put the UDS on the other end.

Solved... I'm getting ready to build a UDS, and have been wrestling with the table question. There's always the folding card table, and then there's this - I think I know which I like better... :clap2:

(Pounding self in forehead) Duh! Simple yet brilliant. Don't know why I didn't think of this.

I have a cover that fits my UDS, so I've been thinking up removable table designs so I can keep the cover.

Plus I wanted to keep the UDS's fairly mobile to fit in the van, I didn't want too many pipes, accessories hanging off the drum. (We were a big hit with the other dads at the last Indian Guides camp out when I brought two drums!!)

I'll just keep my UDS as is, and add a nice table that stays at the house. Thanks my brethren, the collective power of creativity here is just great.

DANG, i want that table now. that looks way nice. Here is one my buddy did on another forum. i want him to build one for me but i have the dang rotisserie kit installed on my webber so its almost impossible. Now if you could insulate the inside of that kettle with this table, perfect outdoor cooker. Anyway. i like your design for the UDS table. portable and stylish.

What, no cutting list?

Just kidding, thanks for posting the plans.
I have the cut list but decided it would make me more responsible if something was off a bit.

I bolted the legs on just so I could fold it up, and the spreader keeps the legs together so it is a snap to unbolt and then lift the top off, table can be flat in 2 mins. If I was making it for travel I wouldnt make it out of cedar though, this stuff dents really easily.
