• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Mighty fine looking plate right there.

We just bought a jar of coconut oil. Ms Gwen has thyroid issues and supposedly that stuff is good for her. I've never used it so tell us something about using it to cook with if you don't mind please.

What's the best way to get from Greenville, SC to Pendleton, IN? That is an awesome looking plate, for sure. I'm going to Publix and try out my steak hunting skills.

Looks great!! I love shrooms on a steak too. :-D

Dang--already thawing out a pork loin for dinner.

I am definitely doing the mushroom and onion pan thing, though.

Great as a high heat cooking fat. Doesn't burn like butter can since it is 100% fat. Since its saturated it does well not to break down at those high temps frying or sautéing or in a wok. I used about 2 tablespoons in that pan. I do my eggs with it as well. It can be tricky to bake with as it remains solid at room temp though. My wife works that magic though. It really is a healthy fat and I have replaced all vegetable oils with it.

Thanks a bunch. I'll be cooking with it now that I know how to use it

Thanks for the coconut oil tip! Wife uses it as lotion and puts it in her hair once a week. We give it to my german shepard for skin and coat benefits. We were just talking last night about cooking with it. Maybe some coconut shrimp? Your meal looks great!

Oh yah, coconut shrimp is awesome! Look for "unrefined" coconut oil if you actually want the food you cook to carry the coconut flavor. If not then use refined as it has all the health positives but a more neutral taste.
