• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Well I tried the Toxic UDS twice since kidnapping it on Friday.
The first cook was to be a couple fatties and some pig candy.
Well without a thermometer I burnt both of those. No pics taken!

Then for Xmas eve family dinner I did two flats and a butt on Sunday (gave myself a day in case this cook got farked up). Went to Walmart and got a remote thermometer that went to 400 degrees (just in case). All three pieces of meat came out great. The family loved it. Cannot download the camera here, so I will have to wait a week and post when I get home.

The only trouble I had was controlling the temp with the wind we had in KC on Sunday. I think I will test out controlling the temp more with the exhaust then with the intake when I build mine. I want a single exhaust out due to my UDS being under my covered patio, so I think I can control, hopefully, the temp from there.

Hope everyone had a good holiday today.

Well your battin 500 with no experience, that aint to bad. The wind can test your patience from time to time. Too bad about the fatties and the pig candy, glad the rest turned out good.

If you want to play with it some more, Hang on to it a few more days.

Jerry, the more you use it, the better you will handle any deviation current weather conditions throw at you. With Experience comes Knowledge.:-D
Good Luck on your UDS Journey....
