• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Do any of you folx ever grill Tuna Steaks? What is your method?

Here are some steaks I grilled over my chimney. Served them on a salad w/ a Chinese dresing I make. What do you think?
 
Hard sear still very pink in the center?
It does not get better than that.
 
Teriaki marinade and grilled is good
Smoked is good
Raw is good (cheviche or sushimi style)
 
soak in lime juice(whole lime) and 50/50 soy sauce/teriaki for about 15 minutes.

Then press it into sesame seeds, all over including the sides. Use the palm of your hand to press them seeds on real good. Use moisten them with lime juice as you press.

Hard sear real fast, 45-60 seconds each side. Dump a short chimney into a half chafing dish and lay a grate right on top. Puts the coals half inch from the tuna. The sesame seeds toast and pop releasing all the oils.
