People try to clean up after a Hummer crashed into RUB BBQ in Chelsea.
Eight people were injured today after a driver who had just stolen a black Hummer barreled through the heart of Chelsea before crashing it into a cab and city bus, then jumped the curb and smashed into a restaurant, witnesses and police said.
"It happened really fast, not even 5 minutes. It looked like it was out of a movie,'' said Mike Alomi, 20, who works at a deli near the final crash scene on West 23rd Street near Seventh Ave., where the Hummer struck the eatery Rub BBQ so hard around 2:20 p.m., it bounced back onto the sidewalk before coming to a stop.

Police said the thug had just swiped the car as it was about to be parked at a nearby garage, where two women were dropping it off. While the parking-lot attendant was giving the women their ticket for the vehicle after they got out, the creep got in and zoomed off, cops said.
The panicked attendent immediately ran outside and flagged down nearby cops in a patrol car.
But by that time, the speeding perp had crashed down the block.
In fleeing, he hit the bus and yellow cab, then spun out, jumped the curb and struck the restaurant, they said.
Authorities said four people were seriously hurt and four had minor injuries. All were taken to Bellevue Hospital.
The Hummer driver was among those
