• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We're doing some Pork spareribs again this weekend. I trim a heckof alot of meat off them before they are rubbed for the grill. Are you guys doing anything with the meat that's trimmed off. 3 packs of ribs = 5 lbs of trimmings.

I cook them along with the ribs and pull them when done. chef's snacks! you could also cut up the meat and put it in beans or turds or...

That's how I try out new rubs, without ruining a good piece of meat.

As I posted earlier, I usually put the trimmings or rib skirt in the smoker ........ and forget about it until it is too late and they are drier than shoe leather.

I cook them for the dog

Lucky dog! :D

I cook up the breast bone just like the ribs and often take them for lunch later in the week. I've started "squaring of" the slabs and so I have the thin ends for me, too. :D

I cook them along witht the ribs... But, I don't rub them. I just cook'em.. Then I vac pak them and use them in beans, greens or anything else you would use ham hocks or sum such in...

'course, other times, we rub'em cookem and eat 'em...
