Whole Foods had beef short ribs and flanken ribs on sale this week, so I thought I would give that a try. Since the flanken ribs looked better, I went with those.
After a bath in a Worcestershire/soy mixture, it was time for some seasoning. Half got the Meat Church Holy Cow (love the peppery taste) and the other half got salt as my wife and daughter like it mild.
The wings were a stand- by in case the beef didn't turn out great, so I seasoned them up with a basic chicken seasoning, (again, keeping it mild) and sauced with a mixture of Blues Hog Original and Blues Hog Red. While the ribs were good, especially for a first attempt, the star was actually the wings. They hit on every point. They are definitely on my menu for another cook in the very near future. The Bubba Keg came through for me again.
Thanks for looking.
