FOOD PRON 2

brought to you by the shameless promotion dept.

I'm looking forward to this one and already have the shoulder on the smoker that I will eat while watching. I record all Anthony's shows and watch them religiously. I dig the fact that he is a formally trained gourmet chef that eats at all those fancy restaurants yet each show inevitably his favorite food some kind of slow cooked pig/lamb/beef from a mom and pop shack or stand.

My daughter got my wife & I tix to see him for my Bday. We weren't sure what to expect. He just basically talked about his escapades. He speaks highly of a few of the celebrity chefs. Not so highly of others. He seemed down to earth & was kinda funny. Someone I'd like to sit & visit with. I also record all the shows I'll probably watch it tomorrow. Enjoy.

Bourdain rocks..did you guys see the episode when he was butchering that pig to all hell and doing shots of mescal along the way...kitchen confidential is a great book too..

Q only got about 2 minutes of air time, in a pretty down-home joint. Where-as they went through all of New York to find the most expensive, high-falutin atmosphered restaurant for some of the other segments. Not a bad show, and ended up with him waiting in line on the street for a gyro from a sidewalk vendor. Classy!

I agree, but can attest to the fact that you should never ever watch a show like this when you're hungry.

Had some interesting things, thought it was entertaining.:clap2:

Good show, kinda skimpy on the Q though, Nice looking burnt ends.

I thought his comment about out of this world ratings for BBQ shows was interesting. I wonder what he was basing that comment on?

Dave

Well I think he said everytime he does an episode that has BBQ in it the ratings spike..he said if all he showed was Q he'd have the highest rated show on tv..that says a lot coming Tony..and you know he's eaten some dam good food!
