Howdy folks...


I was out of town in southern germany for the whole week doing business.
On Monday, the guy who blasts and paints my pit send a pic to my cell phone and told me that shes finally ready :biggrin:

As you might imagine, this was a hell of a long week for me :twisted:

Gonna pick her up tomorrow, all thats left to do is build front tables, a charcoal basket and clean the paint off of the spring handles :icon_shy

Arlin, i really wish it´d have to do at least a little bit with the "little beer festival", but it didnt... :evil:

I´m gonna bring suzy home tomorrow, but prolly wont cook on her until next weekend.
Its my Dads birthday on sunday and im gonna cook for the people there on his char griller, so im gonna have a lot of preoparation to do tomorrow.
Maybe i get her seasoned, though.

Wow, i had a busy day... :x

Anyway, i managed to pick her up and bring her home.
Wont be able to burn her in this weekend, but i put a
propane cooker (with auto shutoff in case the fire blows out, no worrys :wink: )
into the firebox to heat her up and dry her out.

Feels good to be almost done.

Sunday morning, 7.30 am, in the middle of nowwhere aka my parents backyard

I smell smoke !

I gave Suzy a first good bit of fire today to burn in the paint and the season the in- and outside + grates with Oil

Shelves and propane side cooker incl. turkey lift are ready, too.

Heres a snapshot after two hours, another 2 hours later the inside was black like a dutch oven.
