You know that we in South Carolina believe we invented BBQ (our state motto: Too small to be a nation, too big to be an insane asylum).

I am a Baptist preacher, cook with the Monkeyboys BBQ Team (my son is the official pitmaster). Have been cooking in SC competitions for a couple of years and plan to enter a couple of KCBS events next year. Since I have to work on Sundays I can only cook comps close to Columbia, SC so I look forward to meeting some of you in SC, north GA, NC and east TN.

Certified judge in SCBA (of course we have our own BBQ group, see first sentence), certified judge and certified table captain with KCBS.
