The wife was spending a little quiet time this morning before a Dr appt. and happened to stop by one of "local" Goodwill stores...

Pulled up in the parking lot, knowing I've been looking for a 22.5 Weber, and what was sitting outside beside the door was a gray Weber. She told me she sat there thinking "They probably want 20 or 25 bucks for that..." So she was going in anyway and she got up to it and there was 8.98 on the lid. She grabbed the lid and took it in with her and told the girl @ the register she wanted it.

Got home and checked it out and there is a little rust on the edge of the lid and the wood handles are shot. I originally wanted it for the lid for my UDS but,I'm going to clean it up & use it. No bottom mount ash catcher just a pan,I'm assuming its a silver??

The production code on the top vent is an " N".

I got a great wife...... :-D

Lucky you! One would think that used 22.5" Weber grills are like hens teeth in my town. They are nowwhere to be found. I found an 18.5" Weber for free that only needed a new grill. But, the 22.5" grills are hard to find used, for some reason.

ash pan was most likely raw aluminum, silver, but you can use any old metal pan that fits, even a tin pail under the kettle works.

Also, you are a very lucky man to have a wife that will rescue you a weber! My girlfriend just rolls her eyes whenever she sees me with another cooker.
