• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

This might be of interest to you McRib Fans

Wonder if they'll name it Ruitty Tuitty Fresh an Porky

Wow, six out of the nine new items are either grilled, 'smoked', or BBQ'ed.

I will disown each and everyone of you if I ever catch you with a McRib and/or BBQ from IHOP, applebys, chili's or any other chain restaurant.
I remember ordering babyback (gimme some of that babyback babyback) ribs from Chilis one time... many many years ago, right when my love for bbq began, good thing I had a saftey net of Bryants to fall back into, because if that was my only impression of bbq I would of never eaten it again.

Thats a little harsh Timmay.

Everyone knows great barbecue is all in the sauce.

The rib is just a spoon to get the sauce into your mouth.

If someone tells me that the barbecue they ate sucked, I know they meant it just needed more sauce.

I know, I know.... maybe I was too harsh.
Each of you will only be out of my will.

Exactly what I meant.

It was me, as you know, and it sucked.

It just needed more sauce

I understand Baskin Robbins is coming out with a new Rib flavored Ice Cream.

I've learned the hardway, I can't even eat at many BBQ restraunts. I've been spoiled by comp and back yard cooks alike.

I've done the riblets on occassion. Middle of WI, needed a rest stop from the driving, and it was the only thing on the Appleby's menu that appealed to me. The Chili's babybacks weren't bad, but I always got them both sans sauce. But now that I know how to do them properly, I'd rather take the 3+ hours and cook them myself instead of going to either place.

When I worked at McDonalds 25+ years ago, I didn't like the McRib then, and know even better now. But when I see that sandwich, I'm reminded of the babyback sammich that was posted here a couple of months ago. Now *that* was a BBQ sammich...

That's at the very least a $20 sandwich anywhere ya go!

SIDE Helpful Hint #308: If you hollow out the bottom bun, it serves as a vessel for massive amounts of sauce.

Interesting. I ask because I've considered going the part-time vendor route, selling stuff on weekends only. Obviously the first steps would be securing the proper paperwork and training and such, as well as greasing the proper palms needed to make the city that works, work for me instead of against me.
