• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

But before I make that decision, I would like to ask a question. This smoker is 3 years old but has a brand new door, fire bowl, legs, and water pan. The only thing that isn't brand new (minus 2 cooks) is the middle section and the grates. If this were your smoker, what would you ask for it? These things are now 400 brand new. No clue what I would ask for or get for it. I need to sell it to get some money to help pay for my Southern Q.

Any thoughts?

I think $275+ is reasonable, but can't speak to what you would actually get.

Im gonna end u selling a lot of things...including my iPad mini and my bicycle that I love...but i love the smoker more.

I'd keep it and get a second job.:-P:laugh:

Seriously, I'd try to find a way to keep it.

Are you gonna fire up the big Q every time you cook?? It would be nice to have options.

Agree. Unless you totally need the coin don't sell it. I rarely use mine, but the times I want something super light to transport and cook at a friends or wherever I'm glad I have mine. I though about selling it a few times, but each time I'm glad I didn't. Now I don't think I will ever sell it. I've let people borrow it, but never sold it. Just so light weight, versatile and can cook a lot of food. :becky::clap2:

Sigh...If I could get someone to buy or sell a damned house, I wouldnt NEED to sell it. This real estate gig isn't going so well for me right now. Anyone wanna buy or sell a house in Ga?:becky:

Put it on CL for $300 and you'll probably get $275 for it. If I had an insulated cabinet I'd probably sell mine to, which is exactly what I was planning on doing. Now I'm kicking around the idea of getting a small offset instead and if I do that there is no way I'm getting rid of the WSM.

I would not do that. It will save your bacon one day.
If real estate is so bad... & you are hurting for bucks....maybe just hunker down... wait for better times & then get the S.Q.
My .02 worth of advice.

I would pay between $200-250. Used is used. Id list for $300 and see what the market bares.

Enjoy the new smoker.

I would pay 200-225 for it. Not a chance I'd pay 300. For that much I would rather just spend 400 and get a brand new one.

UGH! You guys are talking me in to keeping it. I need the money though. Maybe Ill get a 2nd job like someone said. LOL

You've gotten good listing price advice, so no need for me to add to that.

I just can't believe that nobody has asked the most interesting question yet: How the hell is it that you've had to replace 2/3 of a WSM that is only 3 years old?

I was wondering the same thing lol

I didn't HAVE to. I replaced the bottom bowl that holds the fire because it was way out if round. Weber asked me if there was anything else I needed so I told them about the water pan that I couldn't clean (never wrapped it in foil when I first got it and it was way crusty with stuff...stopped using it for a long time til I got the new one that is wrapped EVERYTIME I cook now) and that the door leaked. They sent it all to me. Was all under warranty and didn't cost me anything. That fireball ws out of round the day I bought it and I didn't have sense enough to realize it. That was why I never could control my temps on it.
