• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I don't necessarily need controllers egg and UDS both maintain well, but if the prices gets close I might as well. I'm trying to hunt down a Wireless Thermometer that has Wifi and graphing. the more probes the better obviously, and I want the probes to be as tough as they can. Players:

Tappecue: $200, 4 probes, seems solid, but people have complained about the probes. Given they try to sell extra probes with initial orders doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy about the durability of the probes either

IGrill2- seems to have everything that I want BUT the Wifi. I know as soon as I got it I'd have to run an errand out of the house or something like that and will wish I had the ability to check on the meat

Stoker/CyberQ- I'm putting these together since I really can't tell a huge difference between them. Both graph, both have wifi, and when set up with the same number of probes, both will run about the same price ($400-$450) More than I need, (and I owned a stoker in the past that bit the dust).

WGrill- seems like a winner, good price, but 2 weeks to ship from China. Am I being too paranoid here? will this work? Accurate?

Thermoworks Due- Kinda like the IGrill2, but only 2 probes and more expensive? Don't get me wrong I love my Thermapen, but an alarm style thermometer needs to get me in the ballpark, the termapen gets me exact

Maverick ET-735- 2 probes, bluetooth, doesn't graph? cheapest, but doesn't seem real solid. Seems like the standard 733 would be better, would have longer range than the BT

Any I'm missing that would be a better fit?

I love the Igrill 2, I downloaded the app on an iPad that stays home. Cause I did run an errand once and took my phone.

Also SAMs in your area may have the Igrill 2 on sale, a buddy of mine just got one there and it was 99.00 with 4 probe

Someone posted last week that Weber was buying the Grill and reading the link it says it will they'll be going wifi, might be a mistake but like you I want wifi not bluetooth.

"iDevices said that the sale of the grilling accessory brands will allow it “to focus even more heavily on becoming a leader in the home automation market. iDevices’ growing line of Wi-Fi and HomeKit-enabled products.”

I think Stoker had the best graphing software out there to use with their product.

Haven't used it in over 5 years so I am not sure what is even available anymore...

Kind of where I am too, my stoker slowly died over a year about 3 years ago, I had one prob left that worked some of the time and the LCD screen stopped working. Sent it back to Rocks and they basically said it was shot, too many rain showers from it's forgetful owner. I mostly work from the house now, so while I'm busy I'm home and controlling my pit temp from afar isn't necessary anymore.

Website says 89.99. I"m seriously considering it, even with BT instead of Wifi, but I'd really rather have Wifi, I'm a computer nerd to the point that I like messing with the networking, but not so much that I want to build my own unit.

I am no professional cook by any means but it's worth 90.00 to me lol:)

Another option is the heater meter, it is an open source build.

One difference with the Stroker is that it is expandable. You can have it monitor up to 18 probes.
