• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

So, I got another maverick dual probe remote thermometer for father's/B-day and was admiring how shiny the braided probe wires were compared to my old one. Would it hurt anything to put some heat-shrink tubing over the braid to protect it, make it easier to clean, etc? Good idea? Bad idea? Farking brilliant?

Probably bad idea as crap will get in under the end (probe end) of the heat shrink and build up. On the other hand we'll never know if you don't try it.
